The Hunger Games posterMOVIE OF THE YEAR

12 Years a Slave

American Hustle

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Wolf of Wall Street

Our Pick: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – While all the nominees were amazing films, based on the taste of the voters at the Movie Awards, our money is on Hunger Games. Our favorite actress stars, and the second movie in the franchise is even better than the first, with the box office receipts to prove it. The only upset here may be American Hustle, which we loved also, but our money’s on Katniss.

Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games: Catching FireBEST FEMALE PERFORMANCE

Amy Adams — American Hustle

Jennifer Aniston — We’re the Millers

Sandra Bullock — Gravity

Jennifer Lawrence — The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Lupita Nyong’o — 12 Years a Slave

Our Pick: Again, we’re going with Katniss on this one. Jennifer Aniston turned out an amazing performance, as did Amy Adams, but JLaw is so freaking likeable and kicks serious butt in the movie that it’s hard to imagine either of the other ladies edging her out.

Matthew McConaughey in Dallas Buyer's ClubBEST MALE PERFORMANCE

Bradley Cooper — American Hustle

Leonardo DiCaprio — The Wolf of Wall Street

Chiwetel Ejiofor — 12 Years a Slave

Josh Hutcherson — The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Matthew McConaughey — Dallas Buyers Club

Our Pick: It was an amazing year for leading men, also, and while Leo was scary good, Matthew McConaughey utterly transformed himself in Dallas Buyers Club.

Miles TellerBREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE

Liam James — The Way Way Back

Michael B. Jordan — Fruitvale Station

Will Poulter — We’re the Millers

Margot Robbie — The Wolf of Wall Street

Miles Teller — The Spectacular Now

Our Pick: Miles Teller has had a banner year, as evidenced by his many performances, The Spectacular Now is a star-making turn.

James Franco and crew in Spring BreakersBEST KISS

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams — American Hustle

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Scarlett Johansson — Don Jon

James Franco, Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens — Spring Breakers

Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller — The Spectacular Now

Emma Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Will Poulter — We’re the Millers

Our Pick: There were some intense kisses this year, including two three way kisses, and we’re going to have to go with Spring Breakers on this one. James Franco was terrifying and amazing and the scene took place with such a haunting use of Britney Spears, it’s hard to deny.

Will Ferrell and Crew get ready to throw down in Anchorman 2BEST FIGHT

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues — Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Steve Carell vs. James Marsden vs. Sacha Baron Cohen vs. Kanye West vs. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler vs. Jim Carrey and Marion Cotillard vs. Will Smith vs. Liam Neeson and John C. Reilly vs. Greg Kinnear

Identity Thief — Jason Bateman vs. Melissa McCarthy

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug — Orlando Bloom and Evangeline Lilly vs. Orcs

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire — Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Sam Claflin vs. Mutant Monkeys

This is the End — Jonah Hill vs. James Franco and Seth Rogen

Our Pick: This is the End was AMAZING…but it’s hard to deny a fight that has fifteen legitimate participants. We’re going to have to go with Anchorman 2 on this one.

Melissa McCarthy in The HeatBEST COMEDIC PERFORMANCE

Kevin Hart — Ride Along

Jonah Hill — The Wolf of Wall Street

Johnny Knoxville — Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa

Melissa McCarthy — The Heat

Jason Sudeikis — We’re the Millers

Our Pick: The ladies have it, according to us! Johnny Knoxville was in fact nominated for an Oscar for Bad Grandpa, but Melissa McCarthy had us rolling in the aisles in The Heat. We’re thinking she’s a lock on this one.

Vera Farminga in The ConjuringBEST SCARED-AS-S**T PERFORMANCE

Rose Byrne — Insidious: Chapter 2

Jessica Chastain — Mama

Vera Farmiga — The Conjuring

Ethan Hawke — The Purge

Brad Pitt — World War Z

Our Pick: Vera Farmiga is killing it in the horror genre, no pun intended, and her performance in The Conjuring had us climbing walls and covering our eyes.

Vin Diesel and Paul WalkerBEST ON-SCREEN DUO

Amy Adams and Christian Bale — American Hustle

Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto — Dallas Buyers Club

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker — Fast & Furious 6

Ice Cube and Kevin Hart — Ride Along

Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio — The Wolf of Wall Street

Our Pick: This category was the toughest one for us to pick a winner, but we’re going to go with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, in light of his tragic passing late last year. RIP Paul.

Zac Efron in That Awkward MomentBEST SHIRTLESS PERFORMANCE

Jennifer Aniston — We’re the Millers

Sam Claflin — The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Leonardo DiCaprio — The Wolf of Wall Street

Zac Efron — That Awkward Moment

Chris Hemsworth — Thor: The Dark World

Our Pick: It comes down to Chris Hemsworth and Zac Efron for us…and we think that Zac has Chris beat here, by the smallest of margins. It doesn’t hurt that the shirtless moments in That Awkward Moment are poignant, funny and romantic – there’s broad appeal there!

Leonardo DiCaprio has some issues in Wolf of Wall Street's 'Lude Scene'#WTF MOMENT

The RV Crash — Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

The Beauty Pageant — Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa

Car Sex — The Counselor

The Lude Scene — The Wolf of Wall Street

Danny’s New Pet — This is the End

Our Pick: We love a good #WTF moment here….and it came down to Danny’s New Pet and The Lude Scene for us. The Lude’s beat it out, we were talking about that scene all winter, and still are.

Donald Sutherland as President Snow in The Hunger Games: Catching FireBEST VILLAIN

Barkhad Abdi — Captain Phillips

Benedict Cumberbatch — Star Trek into Darkness

Michael Fassbender — 12 Years a Slave

Mila Kunis — Oz The Great and Powerful

Donald Sutherland — The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Our Pick: While there were many scary villains this year, we have to tip our hats to Donald Sutherland and newcomer Barkhad Abdi for turning out amazing performances. Donald Sutherland edges Abdi out in our books, just by the sheer nature of the Games.

Jared Leto as Rayon in Dallas Buyers ClubBEST ON-SCREEN TRANSFORMATION

Christian Bale — American Hustle

Elizabeth Banks — The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Orlando Bloom — The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Jared Leto — Dallas Buyers Club

Matthew McConaughey — Dallas Buyers Club

Our Pick: There were amazing transformations this year all around…especially by men, but one stood out above the rest for us. Jared Leto as Rayon was beautiful and heartbreaking…and won him an Oscar. We wouldn’t be surprised if he won the popcorn for that role, also.

Leonardo DiCaprio busts a move in Wolf of Wall StreetBEST MUSICAL MOMENT

Backstreet Boys, Jay Baruchel, Seth Rogen and Craig Robinson Peform in Heaven — This is the End

Jennifer Lawrence Sings “Live & Let Die” — American Hustle

Leonardo DiCaprio Pops and Locks — The Wolf of Wall Street

Melissa McCarthy Sings “Barracuda” — Identity Thief

Will Poulter Sing “Waterfalls” — We’re the Millers

Our Pick: This was particularly tough for us….While we loved Will Poulter’s version of Waterfalls, Leo’s pop and locking seemed especially timely, even though it was a period performance. We’re going with Leo on this one.

Kanye West in Anchorman 2BEST CAMEO PERFORMANCE

Robert De Niro — American Hustle

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey — Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

Kanye West — Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man — Iron Man 3

Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins — The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Chris Hemsworth as Thor — Thor: The Dark World

Our Pick: There were so many heroic feats between these 5 guys it was hard to pick just one…While we loved Chan in White House Down, Robert Downey Jr. has the hero bit on lock right now with his amazing performances as Iron Man.
