Avan Jogia and Ben KingsleyTwisted’s Avan Jogia is taking on the title role in Spike TV’s Tut miniseries, about the youngest Pharaoh in history. Unsurprisingly, Ben Kingsley will play his advisor Ay. Tut will hit the airwaves in fall 2015.

Arrow news! Arrow news! Arrow news! Charlotte Ross (Glee, NYPD Blue) has been cast as Felicity Smoak’s (Emily Bett Rickards) mother. The plot is thickening quite a bit around Felicity and her origins, and we can’t wait to see how Charlotte’s character fits in. Additionally, David Cubitt (Bates Motel) will be guest starring as Mark Shaw, aka Manhunter. He is set to appear in this season’s third episode.

Willa Fitzgerald and Amy ForsythMTV is moving right along with SCREAM the TV series, casting Willa Fitzgerald (Royal Pains), Amy Forsyth (Reign), John Karna, Carlson Young (Key & Peele) and Amadeus Serafini. We can’t wait!

Christian Borle, SmeeNBC has added Smash’s Christian Borle to the cast of Peter Pan Live! which features Allison Williams as Peter and Christopher Walken as Hook. Borle will play two roles: Hook’s henchman Smee, and Mr. Darling.

Aly MichalkaAs for the CW’s promising horror series iZombie, Aly Michalka (Easy A) will play best friend and roommate to the zombie lead, played by Rose McIver.

School of Rock posterThe 2003 Jack Black musical comedy School of Rock is coming back, this time as a TV series for Nickelodeon. The film’s director and producer are involved, but it remains to be seen if Mr. Black will join in on the fun.

Girl Meets World posterIn renewal news, The Disney Channel has renewed Girl Meets World for a second season. Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel and company will return.


Welcome to Wayne imageLastly, Nickelodeon is developing Welcome to Wayne, about two young boys who meet their unhinged neighbors in The Wayne, their New York City residential apartment building. The animated comedy will be a weekly online series.

Carol KaneVeteran comedienne and actress Carol Kane will appear on Gotham, the long-awaited new series following the origins of Police Commissioner Gordon of the Batman universe. Kane will portray the mother of the boy who grows up to become The Penguin.
