Now that we are getting a lavish big screen update to Veronica Mars, it begs the question: which other old school TV characters would you love to see brought back after all this time? Kids don’t stay kids forever (unless we’re talking The Simpsons of course) and young adults soon turn into plain old adults. Which of the below characters would you love to catch up with?
PS, Veronica Mars isn’t the only show to happily return in a new form; the kids from Rugrats are All Grown Up now, and Cory and Topanga from Boy Meets World will be raising their own child, a daughter, in the upcoming Girl Meets World!
What show would you like to see brought back? | |
Clarissa Explains It All… – The question is, how much would an update to Clarissa, Mellissa Joan Hart’s first beloved TV persona, look like her life on the fabulous Melissa & Joey? | Cousin Skeeter – Remember this guy? Skeeter was the life of his family, and it’s fun to wonder where they would all be now that they’re all grown up: would Skeeter still be in New York? What career would goody two-shoes Bobby have chosen? He would definitely have excelled in it, regardless what it was! |
The Goonies – Anyone up for Goonies 2, a sequel? While that might not sound too amazing (the movie was made in 1985—almost 30 years ago!), it’s lots of fun to think where Mikey, Mouth, Data and of course Chunk might be today. Would Chunk even still be alive? Hmm… | Mean Girls – So the question is: how long did all the lovey-doveyness portrayed in the last scene of the film last? Did Regina stay nice? Did Karen stay smart-ish? And would Cady have fared better than her counterpart in the real world, Lindsay Lohan? Probably. Wouldn’t you like to know. |
Flash Forward – What if we could ‘flash forward’ and see where Becca and Tucker ended up, after this charming series from the mid-90s where the two friends reflect on middle school and what it was like when they were little? Would Becca have turned out at all like Raquel fromThe LA Complex (another role played by Jewel Staite)? | Lizzie McGuire – Clearly, Lizzie would be a household name by now, because her music career would have taken off…probably a lot more than Hilary Duff’s career has… |
