Matt Lanter is one of our favorite actors right now – and with good reason. His character arcs on 90210 and Star-Crossed are extremely different…their one main similarity is that the uber-talented Lanter is the one to bring them to life.
On 90210, Lanter played bad-boy Liam, based on mega-heartthrob Dylan McKay. Characteristically, everyone at West Beverly loved Liam and his problems ran the typical gamut of high-school drama, with a healthy dose of real life scares thrown in.
On Star-Crossed, we’re watching as the mysterious Roman makes his many layers visible. He’s struggling with being a stranger in a strange land, in navigating true leadership when he’s literally light-years away from home…all while navigating inter-species romance and traitorous dramas. Lanter has said that he loves playing both characters but that Roman would think Liam’s problems are much simpler than his own.
Below is a chart comparing the two characters. Which character do you think is more memorable? Do you agree with Lanter’s sentiments?
