In the series finale of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland the showdown between the good guys and Jafar reached its conclusion, and of course Alice et al won out because, well, the good guys always have to win.  Unfortunately, Amara sacrificed herself to defeat Jafar, but when Jafar steals the water from the Well of Wonders that was inside Amara, the guardian of the well cursed him into his own bottle. Ironic considering all the havoc he wreaked with people in bottles over the season.  Alice and Cyrus married, Cyrus’ brothers were freed and Will and Anastasia are reunited – for now.  So it seems like everyone will live happily ever after.

Yes, the season finale was emotionally satisfying and did a pretty good job of tying up all the loose ends.  However, we personally think that Alice and Cyrus should have stayed in Wonderland, rather than decamping back to England, because that’s where we’ve seen all the action play out over the series.  And we know it’s a fairytale and all, but maybe it would have been more interesting to have left some of the ending a bit more ambiguous, e.g. maybe if Jafar had escaped instead of ending up trapped as a genie.  However, we are are happy to see that Will is going to be crossing over into Once Upon a Time, and curious as to exactly how he’s going to make that transition.
