Black Widow is finally getting her own movie, and it is about time! She has been seen in the Avengers movies, and now we get to learn more about her and her story. An all new trailer for the Black Widow movie was just released, and is extremely captivating. The movie premieres on July 9th in theatres and on Disney+.
According to the synopsis “Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down. Natasha must deal with her history as a spy. And the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger”
At the beginning of the trailer we hear Natasha speak. She says, “You don’t know everything about me, I’ve lived a lot of lives. Before I was an Avenger, before I got this family, I made mistakes. Choosing between what the world wants you to be and who you are.” In the trailer we explore Natasha Romanoff’s history before she was an avenger. The trailer flashes back to what appears to be her teenage years. And we are able to witness Natasha at that age. We are also able to get a glimpse at some really great action scenes that are shown.
The film stars Scarlett Johansson in her role as Natasha AKA the Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour as Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina. It will be directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige.
