In episode 15 of The Young Entertainment Podcast, Mordechai and Daniella are joined by Eli Tokash, who interviews some of the biggest stars for Young Entertainment. We chatted all about the new Jurassic World Rebirth film, as Eli takes us through his exclusive interviews with stars David Iacono and Audrina Miranda, David Iacono and Audrina Miranda. They took us through their first days on set and their favorite moments with the star-studded cast. Here at Young Entertainment, we are all about getting the best behind-the-scenes moments from your favorite shows and movies.
Eli is a star of his own as an actor and performer and had the chance to attend the press junket of one of the biggest films of the year, Jurassic World Rebirth. The film takes place five years post-Jurassic World: Dominion with an entirely new cast, as an expedition braves an isolated region to extract DNA from three massive prehistoric creatives for a medical breakthrough. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and more!
Mordechai: “I loved the epicness of the film.”
We had the chance to chat with some of the youngest stars of the film, David and Audrina. Audrina has had roles in Lopez vs. Lopez, multiple independent films, and also has a dance background, having been featured on Dancing With The Stars. You may also recognize David from his hit role of Cam Cameron on The Summer I Turned Pretty and on Dead Boy Detectives.
Eli: “[This movie] has some of the greatest people in our industry on the set.”
Eli took us through his experience of stepping into the world of Jurassic and a forbidden island, with the entire press junket set made to look like a jungle and filled with dinosaurs. Fun fact is he actually has mutual friends with David from high school!
Eli: “You are walking through the jungle just to get to the check in booth.”
If you haven’t seen the film yet, it is a must watch for the incredible CGI and effects and the action scenes that took place in the water.
Eli: “Respect to the actors who put in that extra work to film in the water.”
We got to watch the exclusive interviews for the first time, and both Audrina and David were so open and so funny with their behind-the-scenes stories.
Audrina took us through learning to cry on cue, learning to swim for the first time before filming, and her favorite off set day of going to the theme park with David and getting nerf guns they then brought to set.
David walked us through his journey from playing Cam Cameron and learning how to improv to letting loose and overcoming imposter syndrome as Xavier in Jurassic World Rebirth. He revealed that hilarious bathroom scene with the dinosaur was actually the first scene he ever filmed, and he shared some special moments of making Scarlett and Mahershala laugh on set.
Daniella: “It was very vulnerable for David to share [his imposter syndrome] but very inspiring for anyone watching.”
We had so much fun with Audrina and David and cannot wait to see these two stars continue to shine! And once again, this podcast is for you, the fans! We want to know who you want to hear and learn from and have many exciting guests and stories coming up in future episodes. We’ll be releasing episodes each week so don’t forget to subscribe and stay tuned!
Consider this:
- The best thing you can do as an actor is step outside of your comfort zone and try something new. Taking improv classes can help you build confidence and instincts and meet other incredible people in the industry.
- Imposter syndrome can be a common feeling among actors, where they feel like they are pretending and don’t belong. If you ever feel this way, it is important to seek support and remember that you are in positions of success for a reason!
