YA: What can you tell others pursuing the same career?JC: Be a first rate version of yourself, not a second rate version of another. There are no detours to get where you want in life – unless you are taking directions from someone else.
YA: What other pursuits do you have outside of acting?
JC: I love to write. I enjoy photography. I enjoy directing. I enjoy charity work. I love fashion. I guess really this just means the pursuits are endless!
YA: What’s your favorite book, or what book are you currently reading?
JC: Childhood Favorite: The Ear The Eye and The Arm, by Nancy Farmer. Current “go to”: The Stephen Adly Guirgis Trilogy of plays. Currently Reading: 50 Ideas you really need to know about The Universe, by Joanne Baker.
Jaime also has has an artist residency at Pianos bar downtown at 158 Ludlow Street in NYC – starting in FEBRUARY every Monday night at 7pm you can see a set of my original music with my band!
