| You can finally take another breath: Smash‘s highly anticipated second season has begun on NBC. Ratings didn’t look so good for the season premiere, but that’s not how this reviewer felt. Jeremy Jordan, fresh from starring in the hit Broadway show Newsies, more than stole the show here with his gutsy rendition of Broadway Here I Come! Jeremy’s Smash-ing character Jimmy is hesitant and demure, bringing something fresh to the show. While the first season was all about the women of the stage, this season seems to have started with more of a nod to the men. Let’s hope so; any more of Jeremy’s remarkable numbers is unquestionably good for this program. |  |
