About The Album: At long last, little monsters, Gaga’s new album is upon us! ARTPOP is set to drop November 11th. If it seems like a while since Gaga last released new music, it’s because it has been. A nonstop touring schedule combined with hip surgery left Gaga out of commission. Our Lady has also gone on record saying she has felt less inspired since being in a stable relationship (cause for concern?) which she has been, with actor Taylor Kinney. Don’t become like the rest of them Gaga! Finally, she’s back on the scene with ARTPOP, which, like most of Gaga’s oeuvre seems to be in great homage to Andy Warhol. Get ready for a fun ride at the very least.
Track Spotlight: “Applause” is worthy of just that. At first listen, the song seemed less catchy than other Gaga hits such as “Paparazzi” or “Just Dance,” however upon repeats, it turns into a regular earworm and is climbing it’s way up the charts steadily. The video is as high concept as ever and proves that ARTPOP is sure to be a wild ride. |
