The new movie Cruella is coming to Disney+ Premiere Access. And the movie is a look into the classic villain Cruella De Vil. We see the bad girl as we never have before, and learn how a little girl from England grew up to be the Dalmatian hating fashionista that we all know.
Cruella was born with the name Estella. But even as a child she had her classic edge that we’ve all come to know and love. Estella is used to getting into trouble and even used to getting into fights at school. That’s where we first meet her alter ego — Cruella. And the transformation doesn’t stop there.
Estella loves her mother and her dog Buddy — they’re her whole world. But her world is soon turned upside down and she needs to create a new life for herself. That’s where Cruella comes in. A new person, but she was there inside young Estella all along just waiting to get out.
Who Plays Cruella?
Tipper Seifert-Cleveland plays Cruella, we mean Estella, at 12 years old. The young actress shared with YEM what it was like to be a part of the upcoming movie. And what it was like for her to play the iconic villain that we all know from 101 Dalmatians. She even got to wear the iconic black and white hair style that the character is known for!
Tipper has been acting since 2017, but has never taken on a role like this! YEM spoke with her about her role as a young Cruella as she turns into the villain we all know her as. The young character already has a connection to dogs, especially Dalmatians. Plus, she’s already causing trouble and mayhem at a young age!
