Dancing with the Stars

For it’s 17th (!)season, DWTS is shaking things up a bit. While there will still be dancing with stars, the show is shifting format and only airing one night a week. The show’s hosts also played a bit of musical chairs: Tom Bergeron moved in next to Carrie Ann Inaba instead of Bruno Tonioli, while Brooke Burke-Charvet “interviews” the stars on the ground floor instead of her offstage reception area.  Plus, the stars will get their scores immediately after the judges make their critiques. WHOA. While everyone is dances in the same week, no one is goes home until the following. This season’s ringers include High School Musical star Corbin Blue, Glee star Amber Riley, performer Christina Millian and Showgirls star Elizabeth Berkley Lauren. Additional contestants include Brant Daughter of Pretty Little Liars, Lea Remini, Jack Osbourne, Bill Nye the Science Guy, NFL star Keyshawn Johnson, Blue Collar Comedy Tour member Bill Engvall, Valerie Harper and…Snooki! After the first week of safe dancing, we stand as follows:

First safe couple: Corbin and Karina. Also safe: Leah and Tony. Also safe? Bill Nye and Tyne.

Couples in jeopardy: Keyshawn and Sharna; Bill Engvall and Emma.

Unfortunately, Keyshawn and Sharna were eliminated. “I don’t really care at this point about whether we win or lose,” Johnson says. “It’s just the fact that I had the opportunity to learn from her. … I wish I could have done more to help her out.” Stay tuned to see who else learns to dance..or get the axe. Tune in on ABC on a new night…MONDAY! Check local listings for times.
