Degrassi, S13E21 – ‘No Surprises’

Miles and Maya indulge in some skinny dipping together but Mr Hollingsworth comes home and busts them.  He’s very angry that they’ve embarrassed him in front of his campaign manager Andrea.  Miles tries complaining to his mom but she’s unsympathetic and Maya tells Miles that maybe he should help out with his dad’s campaign to win him round.  Meanwhile Alli and Dallas are preparing for the science fair and he is looking lovvved up.  Clare decides to take a group bungee jumping to celebrate being cancer free for six months but Eli is stuck working on his short film in New York and flakes out.   Clare doesn’t want Drew to take his spot because of their kiss at Thanksgiving but it’s too late – he’s already been invited by one of the others.

Miles is working on banners for his dad at home and accidentally sees Mr Hollingsworth stroking Andrea; it’s pretty clear that she’s managing more than just his campaign.  He hatches a plot to catch them out by buying Andrea a necklace and signing the note card from his dad.  Meanwhile Dallas buys Alli a gift basket but he has really misread the situation; she is still smarting from Leo.  It just so happens that Clare and Drew end up bungee jumping in tandem … or should that be bungee humping?  There’s some serious flirting going on but when Drew asks if Clare wants to get a bite afterwards she reigns it in.

When Miles sees Andrea’s reaction to the necklace, his suspicions are confirmed and he blows up in the middle of a press train session.  But … gasp … his mom already knows!  She says she’s keeping quiet until after the election.  Dallas goes to clear the air with Alli but she tells him why she’s so hurt about Leo.  He abused her, physically and emotionally.  Can he get past her barriers?  And will Miles keep quiet about the affair until after the campaign?  Tune in next week to find out!
