The recent D23 Convention gave us sneak peeks at tons of new stuff happening in the Disney universe, but none is so exciting for music fans (and for fans of music from Disney films over the years, which is, like, EVERYBODY) as the announcement of a compilation LP called We Love Disney, a compilation in which your favorite artists from all genres cover your favorite songs from Disney classics.
The album is produced by David Foster (pop music’s production OG) and features pop, country, indie, and hip hop stars alike getting the Disney treatment. The full track list is below, and YE is especially excited to hear Jessie J’s rendition of “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid and Kacey Musgraves performing “Spoonful of Sugar” from Mary Poppins.
The album will be out October 30th, just in time for Christmas/Hanukah presents for every Disney fan on your list, or you know, just for yourself. But to hold you over until then, check out Ne-Yo and his cover of “Friend Like Me” from Aladdin.
