Disney Brings ‘The Jungle Book’ To Life

Disney’s live action adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book hits theaters April 15th, 2016, and this week Disney treated us to a sneak peek of Mowgli’s wild world with the first official trailer of the film. Fans of the whimsical animated version from 1967, take note: the live action update feels a bit more “real” obviously, and, well, scary. The trailer is full of pulse-pounding action highlighting the dangers of life in the jungle. Adding to the creep factor is a smooth-voiced Scarlett Johansson narrating the trailer as the voice of slithery serpent Kaa. Voices missing from the trailer that we can’t wait to hear are Idris Elba as Shere Khan, Bill Murray as Baloo, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, and oddball choice Christopher Walken as King Louie. I guess we’ll have to wait to 2016 for that! But for now, check out all the jungle action in the official trailer below!
