Sometimes it’s difficult to stay away. While authors Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl both nurse sequels in their respective solo series to fruition, the pair missed the world of Beautiful Creatures so much—as well as working with one another—that they joined forces again for the very well-received Caster spinoff, Dangerous Creatures.
We interviewed the pair about the work, and they mentioned just how bittersweet it was to end the series with Beautiful Redemption, back in 2012. Since then, of course, the cinematic adaptation to the first installment in the series, Beautiful Creatures, hit screens, so the pair was never too far away from one another. And now they’re already at work on the sequel to Dangerous Creatures, because if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
We have much too look forward to from these lady writers, both together and apart: in addition to more from their collaboration, Kami will be releasing Unmarked (the sequel to demon/ghost story Unbreakable) this fall, while Margaret releases Idols, the sequel to Icons (about teens with ‘weaponized emotions’), next month. Get excited!
