Legacies: A MUST WATCH for The Vampire Diaries and The Originals Fans

Fans fell in love with the hit television show The Vampire Diaries, where supernatural creatures like vampires and werewolves roamed the small town of Mystic Falls, bringing with them drama, doppelgangers and lots of epic supernatural showdowns. For a time, they traveled down south to New Orleans in The Originals, where the Original family tried to return home and keep the peace between witches, werewolves and vampires, yet suffered from devastating sacrifices.

Legacies brings us back to present day Mystic Falls, where students at The Salvator School for the Young and Gifted are not what they seem to the outside world. The students are all supernatural in some way, shape or form and are being taught how to control their abilities before they become adults and live in the real world amongst humans.

Hope Mikaelson, 17, is the daughter of Original Hybrid Klaus Mikaelson and werewolf alpha Hayley Marshall. Both of her parents were killed when she was 15 and losing them has caused her to close herself off from her peers, most of her time being spent training with Alaric Saltzman, the headmaster. Hope is the first, and only, tri-brid, the combination of vampire, werewolf and witch. She is extremely powerful and possibly feared by some of the other students at the school.

Other students include Josie and Lizzie Saltzman, twin witches who were born with dark magic, a vampire named M. G., Rafael, a newly turned werewolf who comes with a little bit of baggage and Landon, Rafael’s human foster brother who happens to be an old friend of Hope’s.

Everything is going fine—well, as fine as things can be in a school where witchcraft and furry students reside—until someone comes through the school and does something that sparks the beginning of what will soon be the cause of extreme danger and mystery, especially for the five supernatural students who will be involved in one way or another.

Legacies stars Danielle Rose Russell, Matt Davis, Kaylee Bryant, Jenny Boyd, Aria Shahghasemi, Quincy Fouse and Peyton Alex Smith. The series is being spearheaded by creator and executive producer Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries, The Originals). You can catch all the magic when the series premieres tonight on the CW.
