“You’ve no idea what you have unleashed!” The breakout star of WandaVision – Agatha Harkness (played by actress Kathryn Hahn), is getting her own Disney+ streaming series. The new spinoff show is already in development by Marvel Studios, according to sources.
No official plot details have not been announced as of yet. As with most Marvel projects in development, don’t expect to hear too much until the show gets close to premiering. Even still, YEM has come up with a few possible theories of where the storylines of this yet-to-be-titled show could go:

In “WandaVision,” Hahn started out by playing the role of Agnes, Wanda and Vision’s friendly (but nosy) neighbor, before it was later revealed she was in fact Agatha, a powerful witch who manipulates Wanda and tries to steal her powers. In both the Marvel comics and the series, Agatha is shown to have survived the Salem Witch Trials and is a tough match for Wanda (who is also known to Avengers fans as Scarlet Witch).
When viewers last saw Agatha in the finale of “WandaVision,” Wanda trapped Agatha in the fictional town of Westview by using her powers to force her to revert back to her Agnes persona. For someone of Agatha’s powers though, it’s likely only a matter of time before she escapes. However, since it’s already been revealed Agatha has lived for hundreds of years (at least), the show could pick up at any point in her timeline.
“WandaVision” aired brand new episodes on Disney+ from January-March 2021. The show, the first live-action Marvel series to debut on Disney Plus, was met with widespread acclaim from both fans and critics. There are no plans for “WandaVision” to return, however. The series ended up receiving 23 Emmy nominations this year, including one for Hahn for “Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series.” One of the show’s Emmy wins came in the “Best Original Music and Lyrics” category for the song “Agatha All Along,” which was used as part of the reveal that Hahn’s character was not who she appeared to be.
The busy actress is also currently set to star in another limited series in development at Showtime centered on iconic comedian Joan Rivers. Hahn’s other upcoming projects include playing the voice of Ericka in “Hotel Transylvania: Transformania” and “Knives Out 2,” the latter of which she will co-star with Mr. James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, as well as Dave Bautista (Drax from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films).
