New Music Friday: January 26th

Curating the best and brightest new music from young rising artists of today, check out this week’s lineup of new releases! 

1) Good Neighbors – “Home”

Check out the creative melodies and unique musical elements from indie rock band Good Neighbors’  new song “Home”. With a sweet whistle intro, this song is the perfect addition to your windows-down playlist. This song will transport you to summertime in an instant. The next time you are in the car and on aux, throw “Home” into your cruising list. 

2) Dolly Parton – “Jolene” (feat. Måneskin)

In this rendition of Dolly’s original tune “Jolene,” check out the ultra-rock version of the sweet classic featuring the band Måneskin. 3) Aryan Jolly – “I Don’t Need You”

Country/folk band Mad Caddies’ song “Baby” is the perfect creative take on a country song with a little folk flare. If you thought that a country song couldn’t have a horn section, you thought wrong. 6) Naomi Sharon – “Nothing Sweeter”

Naomi Sharon’s song “Nothing Sweeter” is a beautiful display of elegant vocals and soft classical guitar melodies paired sweetly in this pop ballad. If you want a song that is sure to make you feel warm and fuzzy, “Nothing Sweeter” is perfect. 

7) Kyle Gordon – “Planet of the Bass”

TikTok comedian Kyle Gordon has adopted the persona of an angry teen to promote his new music. Check out this song “Planet of the Bass” by Kyle Gordon. 

8) Bristol To Memory – “You Had Me At Hello”

Band Bristol To Memory has just released their album Hello Anxious and one of our favorites is “You Had Me At Hello.” This song is a must-listen if you are a fan of Green Day or 5 Seconds of Summer. 

9) Cutter and Cash – “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys”

Calling all old country fans, check out this bluegrassy cover of a country classic “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys” by Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. It is sweet and upbeat and everything you could ever want out of a bluegrass cover. 

10) Amanda Palmer – “Little Island”

This song from rising indie artist Amanda Palmer “Little Island” is a collaboration with Julia Deans that might just bring a tear to your eye. It is a stripped-down song with vocals guitar and piano that is just enough to make you feel like you are in the room with them. Listen to this song for an acoustic pop adventure. 

11) Megan Moroney – “No Caller ID”

New from country pop princess Megan Moroney, “No Caller ID” is a somber yet sweet song to add to your sad country playlist. Check out the music video for an emotional display of her tune “No Caller ID.”

12) Sleater-Kinney – “Hunt You Down”

One song that should be on your release radar for this week is “Hunt You Down” by Sleater-Kinney. It’s intense and unique and packed full of deep lyrics and melodic masterpieces.

16) Shygirl and Boys Noize – “Tell Me”

Shygirl and Boys Noize have come together to create “Tell Me” and we’re here to tell you that it is totally worth the listen. 

17) Martha and the Muffins – “For What It’s Worth”

Martha and the Muffins’ cover of this classic song is a unique take with a popguru sound. Check out the music video for a bold stance and a creative visual for this song. 

18) Bleachers – “Tiny Moves”

“Tiny Moves”, from the popular indie band Bleachers, is a sweet new song that has creative lyrics and elegant melodies that are sure to draw you in from the first verse. 

19) Noah Kahan – “Homesick” (feat. Sam Fender)

“Homesick” is a collaboration from alternative icon Noah Kahan and Sam Fender. If you like Noah or Sam, this song is totally worth the listen. This is creative and sweet and another good addition to your windows down playlist. 

20) Karen Harding – “Insane For A Moment”

Last but certainly not least is the song from Australian artist Karen Harding. “Insane For A Moment” makes you feel like you are inside the head of someone who is going through the motions of life. Listen to this song for a unique indie pop banger!
