Where Are They Now?- Avan Jogia

Known as Beck in Nickelodeon’s Victorious, actor Avan Jogia gained prominence through his role as being the guy with cool hair. As the next installment in this series, let’s dive into what Avan Jogia has been up to since Victorious, as the show ended seven years ago in 2013.

Background/Start

Avan Jogia was born on February 9, 1992 in British Columbia, Canada. He is 28-years-old today. The actor has been in the entertainment business since 2006, though he was in smaller roles to start off his career. His first ever role was in the TV film A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story in 2006. He also landed small roles in the Nick TV movie Spectacular! along with the TV series Aliens in America. This all occurred from about 2006-2009.

Big Break

The Canadian actor got his big break by landing the role as Beck Oliver in the 2010 Nickelodeon series Victorious starring Victoria Justice. Jogia played Beck Oliver, one of Tori’s (Justice) close friends. The actor gained recognition throughout the series, starring in 53 of 57 episodes, and creating his own path for more success after the show ended in 2013.

Other Works

Since Victorious, Avan has been actively involved in the entertainment industry, taking on multiple roles aside from acting too. The Canada native wrote and directed a short film called Of Dogs and Men in 2016.

The actor also took the lead role on an ABC Family TV show called Twisted, which aired from 2013-2014, right after Victorious. He has also had a lead role in the TV series Tut and Ghost Wars.

Jogia also starred in teen film The Outcasts (2017) and another film called The New Romantic (2018), among a few others.

Today

Avan is still very involved in the entertainment industry today. He released his very own book called Mixed Feelings last year. He also had a role in Zombieland: Double Tap, which released in 2019. The actor also starred alongside actress Kelli Berglund in a TV show called Now Apocalypse, which aired last year. Unfortunately, the series ended after only 10 episodes.

As of today, Jogia has one film called The Exchange still awaiting release.
