Shailene Woodley Best Performance

With relatively few credits to her name thus far, Shailene Woodley is nonetheless everyone’s favorite ingénue, with a fresh face and fierce talent that goes a long way. As she continues to command the screen as well as lots of attention, we can’t wait to see what she’ll do as Tris Prior in the Divergent trilogy, but at this early stage in her career, we must ask: which Shailene performance is your fave so far?

Shailene Woodley in The Secret Life of the American Teenager Shailene Woodley (with George Clooney) in The Descendants

The Secret Life of the American Teenager
True SW fans have been enraptured by her for years, since the moment Amy Juergens found out she was pregnant while in high school. The rest is classic TV history.

The Descendants
Having blasted on to the silver screen with this Golden Globe-nominated performance, Shailene more than established herself as a next generation movie star here as George Clooney’s daughter coming to terms with her mother’s death—and troubled life before it.

Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller in The Spectacular Now Shailene Woodley in Divergent

The Spectacular Now
In her first major starring role in this adaptation of the celebrated YA novel, Shailene gave us the vulnerable, honest portrayal of Aimee, a seemingly unremarkable teen who turns out to be nothing short of spectacular.

The best is yet to come!
With Divergent about to hit theaters, as well as the locked-in sequels Insurgent and Allegiant on their way, Shailene is at the very start of what promises to be an incredible career. 2014 will also see the release of The Fault in Our Stars, another (moving) YA novel adaptation starring Ms. Woodley. This all surely means that the young starlet has nowhere to go but up!
