Spotlight On Maika Monroe In At Any Price

Zac Efron and Maika MonroeRamin Bahrani (director of the acclaimed Man Push Cart) knows how to portray a life-changing event in the subtlest and most realistic of ways, not afraid to leave things open ended. In his new film At Any Price, starring Dennis Quaid and Zac Efron as a father and son in the corn farming business, he explores the complex interdependencies that exist in a particular family. These two talented (yet relatively untapped) actors make a great father-son duo, and the film doesn’t stop there with fresh performances: stealing the show is fresh-faced Maika Monroe as Efron’s wronged girlfriend Cadence.

Maika is thrilled with her recent abundance of higher profile roles (after a slew of horror films). “For me what I love about this job is I get to go places and do things I never would in a million years. And to find myself in Dekalb, Illinois, it’s something so cool…just learning about the farm and all that, I had a blast. And obviously I was in great company for my first big film and to work with these people—it was incredible!” she enthuses.

Maika will next be seen in The Bling Ring, along with Labor Day, a thriller starring Kate Winslet.

At Any Price is playing in limited release.
