Theres a new trailer for season two of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series!

School is back in session for season two of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. A new trailer and key art have been released. And all of our favorite characters are back to tell a tale NOT as old as time. The series will premiere May 14th on Disney+.

The trailer finds the kids of East high already prepping for their new musical. And what else would it be but High School Musical 2? That is until Miss Jenn runs into the North High theatre director, and he calls High School Musical “adorable”. He informs her that he is putting on a production of The Little Mermaid, as well as going for a prestigious award, so Miss Jenn decides to change it up and have East High put on Beauty and the Beast!

Meanwhile, we witness Nini struggling with the decision of going to the Youth Actors Conservatory. That means she and Ricky would have to be long distance. While Nini and Ricky are trying to make their relationship work while Nini is following her dreams at a prestigious new school, a North High girl also shows up and it looks like she has her eyes set on Ricky. She is shown telling him “It looks like your girlfriend needs some space, let me know if you are looking for one who doesn’t.” This new season looks like it is going to be filled with drama.

Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett also have written brand new songs for this season. Along with Olivia and Josh, this season the series regulars are Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Larry Saperstein, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, Joe Serafini, Mark St. Cyr and Kate Reinders. Guest starring this season will be Derek Hough, Olivia Rose Keegan, Roman Banks, Andrew Barth Feldman and Asher Angel. The series is created and executive produced by Tim Federle.

Everyone has been waiting so long since the first season ended, and the second one is finally coming out! Make sure to watch it when it premieres on May 14th!
