If you’ve been keeping up with the new season of Once Upon A Time, you know that there’s a new baddie in town, and this particular villain used to be our fave good girl. Yes, we are speaking of Bella Swan, progeny of Snow White and Prince Charming, who at the end of last season began her transformation into “The Dark One.”

As the newest season began, all our fave Storybrooke residents banded together in their rescue attempts of Bella and her pure heart, and in the first episode, just when you think they will make good on their mission, we and they experience a jump in time after which Bella is fully bad and they and we are fully confused. Since then, the story of the transformation has been revealed slowly, but here we are, nonetheless, left with Bella the Baddie.

Also in the first episode of the season, a tool the gang needs to help Bella requires dark magic and a dark heart to activate it. Regina snatches it up, thinking “No problem, guys, I’ve got this!” But we see immediately that Regina isn’t the big baddie she thought she was. Or that we thought she was. As Hook points out to her, “You’ve done too much good.” 

Did you ever think you’d see the day on OUAT where Bella was the baddie and Regina was the one deemed too pure?!?!?! Neither did we!!! But that got us all nostalgic for the days when Regina was truly the Evil Queen and Bella’s heart was snow white just like her mom’s. Those were the days, weren’t they?
