Top 10 list for the week of January 2nd

As we ring in the New Year, it looks like January will be bringing even more exciting media releases. From new books to new shows, and a Harry Potter reunion, 2022 is already promising to be an exciting time.

1. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts

On January 1, the Hogwarts graduating class is coming back in Return to Hogwarts. Celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the theatrical release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001), your favorite cast members, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, gather for special interviews and cast conversations. It’s going to be a magical journey back to everyone’s favorite school of wizardry.

2. Adaline and the Sphere (The Sphere Chronicles #1 The Crystal and the Curse)

A new literary franchise is born on January 3 with Adaline and the Sphere, Book 1: The Crystal and the Curse, by Beady Vries. This imaginative adventure follows Adaline, who is forced to enter another world when her best friend Violet is suddenly abducted. When Adaline’s parents reveal the truth- that not only Violet, but also this entire world, which the parents were banished from before Adaline’s birth, is at risk-Adaline must battle a warlock, and immortal beings controlled by a corrupt new queen, all of whom are cursed by the undertakers of the Sphere, in order to retrieve her best friend.

3. When You Get the Chance

There will also be a new girl power tale with When You Get the Chance by Emma Lord, an energetic Mamma Mia retelling about Millie Price, an aspiring broadway singer on a path to find her birth mother. It releases on January 4.

4. Hype House

On January 7, your favorite influencers will be getting their own Netflix reality show with Hype House. Influencers, including Chase Hudson and Nikita Dragun, will navigate love and friendship and fame, all while creating the content you know and love.

5. Rebelde

Netflix will also be gifting us with the premiere of the new series Rebelde,following Elite Way School, where a secret society called the Lodge threatens to dash the hopes of the musically gifted first-years.

6. Dota: Dragon’s Blood season 2

Additionally, the streaming titan will be delivering season 2 of Dota: Dragon’s Blood, where Davion the Dragon Knight continues his journey to resolve the demonic deal he originally made.

7. The Book of Boba Fett

Star Wars also will give a look into the life of your favorite intergalactic bounty hunter with The Book of Boba Fett, a new series on Disney Plus that premieres on January 5.

8. The Zach Sang Show

Podcast fans will also get their fill when High School Musical-The Musical- The Series star Joshua Bassett opens up about his life, music and his entire year on The Zach Sang Show.
