Hi Twitter! My name is Christine Webb, and I'm the author of the new book The Art of Insanity! I'm doing a #YAAuthorTakeover for the next two hours, so let's chat! What do you want to know about being a YA author? pic.twitter.com/ZCH1UQrOFU

What's your go-to work snack? For me, I almost always eat pretzels when I write. Pretzel rods, not twists. Not sure why it has to be that specific, but I think my writing would definitely suffer if I had the twists instead. 😜 #YAAuthorTakeover

Here's a collage I made about my novel before it sold. I still kind of like it…it represents what the novel is about. Does it inspire any questions about the book? #YAAuthorTakeover pic.twitter.com/CTcLOmIF78

Here's a throwback to my first author photo. It's not the one that ended up on the book, but it's still kind of fun! #YAAuthorTakeover pic.twitter.com/QdzJ4u5Nn6

The first time I knew I wanted to be an author was in seventh grade. What was your dream when you were in seventh grade? #YAAuthorTakeover

I wrote my first "book" in first grade. It was a plagiarized story based on my best friend's story about a blue bunny. We're still friends. I stopped copying her after that. Promise. #YAAuthorTakeover

The Art of Insanity deals with themes of mental illness. What books about mental illness have you read? Did you like them? #YAAuthorTakeover

The Art of Insanity also features a pug. Because pugs are the best. #YAAuthorTakeover pic.twitter.com/pEkmJxBtvR

The inspiration for The Art of Insanity came from some of my own mental health issues. I wanted to see a book that showed a message of hope about mental illness, where a character could struggle but still be okay. #YAAuthorTakeover

What's a book that really made you think of something in a new way? For The Art of Insanity, I hope people learn more about mental health issues and how to support people who are struggling. #YAAuthorTakeover

Part of being a writer is getting rejected a lot. I was rejected by over seventy agents before I finally landed the AWESOME agent I have now. If you have a dream, don't give up on it! #WritingCommunity #YAAuthorTakeover

When do you make time for your hobbies? For me, I write best in the evening or late at night. My brain isn't awake enough to write in the morning. #YAAuthorTakeover

Well, I'm signing off for the night! Thanks for participating. Come see me over at @cwebbwrites if you want to know more about writing or my new book, The Art of Insanity!
