ya-casting-roundup

It would seem that casting news for Young Adult Hollywood revolves around just a few hot and very in-demand names, and what a busy bunch they are! But because things change in showbiz faster than you say, “On a scale of 1 to 10, you are an 11,” the names on that list are changing all the time. So to that end, we here at YA Mag will undertake the hefty task of keeping you up to date each month on who’s playing what, who’s not, and who should. The roles and stars everyone can’t stop talking about are all here.

First up, some exciting news from Insurgent! Johnny Weston (of Chasing Mavericks) and the wonderfully named Suki Waterhouse (Pusher) are joining the cast for the sequel, already in production. Little is known on their roles. But we’re excited!

Marvel is continuing its streak on TV! The Netflix series Daredevil is set to star Charlie Cox as the titular blind hero, and it is the first of four planned series following various superheroes who will then come together for an Avenger-like miniseries.

As for the CW, they are continuing to get in on the superhero action too. Teen Wolf’s Mr. Lahey. aka John Wesley Shipp, will be a part of The Flash, although it’s not yet certain who he’ll be playing.
