INSURGENT – TEASER

Summed up as: Drop EVERYTHING – Shailene Woodley is back (post Fault In Our Stars) for the Divergent sequel and it can be best described in one word: trippy.

Coolest thing about the trailer: The floating building! Like we said: trippy. And thrilling!

Dumbest thing in the trailer: Nothing! We love the amazing visuals and can’t wait for more.

Worth seeing opening weekend? Duh!

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON – Trailer #2

Summed up as: Marvel continues to steamroll over Hollywood with the next installment of their Cinematic Universe.

Coolest thing about the trailer: The extended shots of Iron Man doing what he does best, and you gotta love the Hulk…

We’re a bit confused: We know it’s just a trailer, but who’s talking here? Is that Ultron? Or some sort of evil version of Iron Man? There is one smaller robot and one larger one…Hopefully things will come clearer soon!

Worth seeing opening weekend? Ya-ha…

GRUMPY CAT’S WORST CHRISTMAS EVER

Summed up as:
Attack of the internet meme! Yes, they are making a TV movie based on a cat-crazy internet sensation! Prepare yourselves.

Weirdest thing about the trailer: …is not even the CGI manipulation of the cat’s face. Although we love Aubrey Plaza, we’re not entirely sure she was the best pick for the voice here. If you’re going to make a Grumpy Cat movie, make sure the voice sounds…grumpy!

Watch or DVR? Perfect for the DVR.

PADDINGTON

Summed up as:
Remember that talking bear from the storybook? Now he’s a talking bear in a big budget movie!

Coolest thing about the trailer: Nicole Kidman as the bad guy taxidermist. And that haircut!

Dumbest thing in the trailer: That haircut!

Worth seeing opening weekend? Not so much.

INTO THE WOODS

Summed up as:
Another extended look at the Rob Marshall/Steven Sondheim holiday extravaganza!

Coolest thing about the trailer: How Johnny Depp is not in overdone makeup for once. And Meryl is looking gorgeous as the Witch before becoming undone.

Best lines: Toss up between “I was raised to be charming, not sincere.” –Chris Pine as Prince Charming, and “Stay a child while you can be a child…” –Meryl Streep as The Witch.

Worth seeing opening weekend? We. Cannot. Wait.

THE HOBBIT: BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES

Summed up as: The thinking man’s conclusion to the Middle Earth saga.

Coolest thing about the trailer: The giant battle moose.

We’re wondering: Where is Smaug the Dragon? And what about Gollum? We can never get enough of Gollum!

Worth seeing opening weekend? We might as well finish it up!

CHAPPIE

Summed up as: A robot movie in the vein of Short Circuit (remember him??) and Wall-E about a friendly machine who may be more human than you think.

Coolest thing about the trailer: We are loving how this robot moves, and it’s also awesome to see .

Dumbest thing in the trailer: Hugh Jackman’s mullet!!!!

Worth seeing opening weekend? This looks cool. Def worth a peek.

MINIONS

Summed up as: A spinoff/prequel to Despicable Me, starring those adorable and nefarious little yellow guys!

Coolest thing about the trailer: The vampire sequence is quite marvelous.

Dumbest thing in the trailer: Too much going on in general, and what are they saying?? Is the whole film going to be like that?

Worth seeing opening weekend? Maybe not the first weekend but we’ll see it!

SUBMERGED

Summed up as: A souped-up crime caper involving a “limousine on ‘roids”, a bunch of young adults, and what happens when they get run off the road and into the water by a couple of baddies.

Coolest thing about the trailer: The scene where they become submerged, when it finally happens.

Don’t Miss: Jonathan Bennett of Mean Girls fame as the limo driver, and Cody Christian (aka Mike Montgomery of PLL).

Worth seeing opening weekend? Meh.

EXPELLED

Summed up as: A straight-up shameless ripoff of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Coolest thing about the trailer: We love the sedative spit dart into the teacher’s leg!

Don’t Miss: The music and the fashions of this updated contemporary high school comedy.

Worth seeing opening weekend? Let’s see if this has anything original going on first.
