BIG HERO 6

Summed up as: Yes, superheroes are over-saturating the market, but Disney is making a strategic move with this good old underdog story with a twist.
Coolest thing in the trailer:That it’s almost completely silent, like Wall-E.
Wish we could’ve heard: Maya Rudolph! We love her.
Worth seeing opening weekend? Only if it keeps getting great buzz. Hopefully this will sate our appetite for something like The Incredibles (that sequel is still in development…)

JUPITER ASCENDING

Summed up as
: A summation of everything we’ve already seen, from Blade Runner to The Fifth Element to The Hunger Games.
Weirdest thing in the trailer:A toss-up between Channing Tatum’s blond eyebrows and pointy fairy ears.
Most beautiful thing: The sublimely gorgeous Mila Kunis, of course.
Worth seeing opening weekend? Depends how curious you are, but we don’t think this will break much new ground.

WISH I WAS HERE

Summed up as
: Zach Braff’s delightful-seeming family portrait, complete with floating sci-fi robot. This is the long-awaited result of his record-setting Kickstarter campaign.

Funniest moment in the trailer:Definitely the exchange with the rabbi. Definitely.
Coolest thing: The soundtrack, more amazing music from The Shins (thanks Mr. Braff)!
Did they show too much? No way – this second trailer piques interest in the most beautiful of ways, leaving us wanting a lot more. Braff seems to be coming into his own here.
Worth seeing opening weekend? Abso-friggin-lutely.

I’LL FOLLOW YOU DOWN

Summed up as
: The grand return of The Sixth Sense’s Haley Joel Osment, with a little Good Will Hunting and space-time manipulation thrown in for good measure.

Weirdest thing in the trailer: Aside from seeing Haley all grown up?
Coolest thing: The intriguing cast, which hides some other quasi-comebacks: the always outstanding Gillian Anderson, and Victor Garber of Titanic fame.
Worth seeing opening weekend? Or iTunes it! Out the same day (June 6th)!

KINGSMEN

Summed up as: James Bond gets a major update with this Men In Black-style spy caper, minus the aliens and plus gobs of British humor
Coolest thing in the trailer: “You’re about to embark on the most dangerous job interview in the world.”
Did they show too much? Just enough. And there’s no such thing as ‘too much Colin Firth’.
Worth seeing opening weekend? Why I do say so myself—Yes.
