Label: Casablanca

About the Album: “The Origin of Love” is Mika’s highly anticipated follow up to his multi-million selling worldwide smash “The Boy Who Knew Too Much.” In case you forgot, “Boy” debuted in every single iTunes top ten around the world. ‘The Origin of Love’ is Mika’s third album. “Origin” is a departure for Mika as this effort is a completely self-created a two-year DIY effort. Mika put together everything on the record himself; he flew around the world (self-funded) and assembled an amazing stable of collaborators including Nick Littlemore and Pharrell Williams, William Orbit, Benny Benassi, FrYars, Greg Wells (Katy Perry, Adele), Klas Ahlund (Robyn’s Body Talk) as well as some brand new unsigned musicians he found online. Cheers to “Love.” Drops 10/16/12.

Track Spotlight: The lead single off the album is ‘Celebrate’, written by Mika and Pharrell Williams, produced by Nick Littlemore from Empire of the Sun and also featuring Pharrell on vocals. It’s sunny and worthy of a celebration.
