LOW DOWN

Summed up as: Elle Fanning has found the time for yet another movie, this a story about a successful but troubled American Jazz pianist and his doting daughter.

Coolest thing about the trailer: The beautiful, jazzy music.

Other cool thing in the trailer: Glenn Close in full period garb (and hair), and The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea in one of his rare acting appearances.

Worth seeing opening weekend? We’re into it.

ONCE UPON A TIME – Frozen

Summed up as: As if you didn’t already know, everyone’s favorite fairytale show is bringing Frozen to TV!

Coolest thing about the trailer: The bucket list of all the usual fairytale suspects, plus some new ones.

Weirdest thing in the trailer: We’re still not convinced by Ariel’s tail.

MEN WOMEN & CHILDREN

Summed up as: Jason Reitman’s (Up In the Air) tale of White American ennui in a digital age, with featured performances by Ansel Elgort (TFIOS) and standout Kaitlyn Dever (Short Term 12).

Coolest thing about the trailer: The somewhat overdone but still smart use of floating text and other graphics to indicate smartphone activity.

Scariest thing in the trailer: Jennifer Garner as a controlling, manipulative mother who won’t give her daughter (Dever) an ounce of privacy.

Worth seeing opening weekend? No, but definitely worth seeing in general.

SUPERNATURAL – Season 10

Summed up as: The cheesy-spooky shenanigans are back in the tenth (tenth!) season of the show that brings an extra does of ‘super’ to the term supernatural.

Dumbest thing in the trailer: The karaoke climax.

Spookiest thing: Those black eyes.

Best Line: -“Did he say anything?” -“’Where’s the porn?’”

Watch or DVR? DVR!

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES – Season 6

Summed up as: The bloodiest of love triangles continues into the highly anticipated next season of TVD…

Hottest thing in the trailer: Ian Somerhalder, duh, getting his shirt ripped off. Check out our rundown of how his portrayal of Damon compares to the character in the book!

Best Line: “Why the hell are you feeding on people?”
