Since the release of After We Collided, fans have been wondering when the next After film would be released. The official After account shared on Valentines Day, the trailer for the third movie, After We Fell, and a release date coming soon.
The synopsis of After We Fell reads: “Just as Tessa makes the biggest decision of her life, everything changes. Revelations about first her family, and then Hardin’s, throw everything they knew before in doubt and makes their hard-won future together more difficult to claim.”
The After film series is based on a quartet of fictional adult novels, written by Anna Todd. The first movie (and book), follow Tessa Young (Josephine Langford), a proud student, as she enters her first semester in college. Full of ambition for her future, her small world changes when she meets Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes Tiffin). Hardin is a mysterious boy, who makes her question everything she believed she knew about herself and the world. Their relationship is built of lust and lies, and the truth comes to test them.
After We Collided, the sequel, focuses on Tessa and Hardin working on their relationship. More about Hardin’s character and his past is revealed in this film. The book even has alternating chapters between his and Tessa’s perspectives. This allows readers a chance to really get to know Hardin this time. The movie ends on a huge cliffhanger, with Tessa and her father, that will lead right into After We Fell.
Things in Tessa’s life really begin to unravel in the third book. And this will likely be shown in the film as well. Her relationship with Hardin takes a turn when he discovers she had kept a secret from him– “and rather than being understanding, he turns to sabotage.”
The trailer for After We Fell teases us with romance and hot and heavy scenes between Tessa and Hardin. But some old faces from the past present potential threats to their relationship.
The first two installments of the series are on Netflix. And while there is no confirmed release date set, fans will be happy to know that the fourth movie was filmed back to back with the third, meaning it may follow soon after they announce After We Fell.
