1. If I See You Again Tomorrow by Robbie Couch
If I See You Again Tomorrow is a young adult romance about a teen named Clark stuck in a time loop until he is interrupted by a boy he’s never seen before. Clark decides to join this new boy Beau on a series of “errands” and doesn’t expect to fall this hard or fast for someone in just one day. This love story is one of our favorite’s this year and also explores themes of friendship, loneliness, and opening up to others.
2. Betting On You by Lynn Painter
Betting on you follows seventeen-year-old Bailey who finds herself at the center of a bet after starting a new job working at a hotel waterpark. It’s a fun rom com read and the characters of Bailey and her love interest Charlie are lovable and relatable. The book is also a great representation of a first love and dealing with commitment. 3. In Nightfall by Suzanne Young
The Lost Boys meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer in In Nightfall from Suzanne Young. In the quaint town of Nightfall, Oregon, it isn’t the dark you should be afraid of – it’s the girls. It is a dark, fast paced, addictive book full of fun and mystery and will be one you won’t be able to put down.
4. Midnight at the Houdini by Delilah S. Dawson
In Midnight at the Houdini, a girl discovers a hotel where no one leaves. When the clock strikes midnight, she’ll be trapped there forever unless she’s able to break free from the magic that breaks all her rules. The book draws a lot of inspiration from Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz as we follow the journey of the main character through this magical hotel.
5. House of Roots and Ruin by Erin A. Craig
In this classic gothic thriller fantasy, Erin A. Craig explores doomed love, menacing ambition, and the ghosts that haunt us. This story returns readers to the lives of the Thaumas sisters from the first bestselling book House of Salt and Sorrow, although this book is a stand-alone novel. Verity Thaumas is still cursed and goes on the run, where romance blooms yet she is still plagued by nightmares.
