Volume 1 of Stranger Things is out now, with Volume 2 coming out on December 25, and the finale on December 31. The season takes place a year after the events of season 4 as the group seeks to find and kill Vecna. The mission becomes complicated when the military arrives in Hawkins and begins hunting Eleven. As the anniversary of Will Byers’ disappearance approaches, the group must fight one last time against a new deadly threat.
Birdie is an up-and-coming star who had her first breakout role when she played young Regina “Reggie” Fabelman in Steven Spielberg’s film The Fabelmans. She now plays Rebecca in this season of Stranger Things, which was a dream come true for her. Birdie even revealed the show inspired her to first start taking acting lessons!
Birdie: “After the first episode of Stranger Things, I loved it and I wanted to start taking acting lessons.”
When Birdie first booked the role, she had to hide it from her friends for over a year, and even cut her hair for it. And what makes it even more special is her dad Emanuel Borria is also in season 5, playing Sergeant Luis Ramirez. Talk about the coolest dad/daughter experience ever!
Birdie: “My dad found out he booked the show two months before so we were like ‘omg we’re going to be in it together.”’
Birdie was one of 11 new young actors on set and she said they all became friends very quickly. From trick or treating on Halloween while filming, to going to dinners and filming TikToks, everyone was incredibly kind.
Birdie: “All the main cast members hung out with us and played games on set.”
She also said the main cast, especially Millie Bobby Brown, Noah Schnapp and Caleb McLaughlin, were so welcoming and would invite the new cast members to eat lunch and film videos. Birdie even revealed her favorite experience off set was doing a boys vs. girls dance battle with the entire cast.
Birdie: “It was so cool to be able to see how good the main cast was. Even when they cut they were still so professional and had fun with it.”
We end the episode by playing a game of which Disney Princess would fit in certain Stranger Things scenarios and a most likely superlative game. Birdie says this fifth and final season is the best yet and she can’t wait for fans to watch!

Consider this:
- On avail as an actor means they have confirmed their availability to work on a specific day or date ranger for a casting director. Sometimes you might have to make sacrifices but if you love the work, then it is so worth it!
- Reading your script right before you fall asleep will allow you to better retain and remember your lines in the morning.
- Every actor faces rejection, but you have to be ready to go after parts you really want. Keep believing in yourself and regardless, you can make so many memories, friends, and take in so many lessons along the way.
