In episode 41 of The Young Entertainment Podcast, Mordechai and Daniella cap off the year with a 2025 entertainment deep dive. From content that raised us up this year, broke us, and had us spiraling in between, entertainment brought us so much comfort this year and we had so much fun highlighting our favorites.

Daniella: “Can we just talk about the fact that 2025 might be the most unserious yet iconic year in entertainment history.”

If you’ve ever wanted a podcast to learn from the stars and get the best masterclass tips and tricks for launching your own career, you’ve come to the right place!

While this year brought change and many hardships, entertainment was the constant that united us. From nostalgic moments, to new hit shows and returning seasons, to legendary theater releases, we wanted to give all the content that brought us so much joy this year its flowers.

Daniella: “Entertainment inspires us, it empowers us, it helps us to dream bigger and above all shows us we are not alone.”

We dive into shows like Stranger Things, which dropped its fifth and final season. We loved the connections and friendships that the show brought, including those insane season finales we couldn’t stop talking about on social media. The Summer I Turned Pretty saw people divided over Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah, but we ultimately found community online discussing episodes every week.

Mordechai: “I’ve never been so excited about a piece of media, and [Stranger Things] got me this excited.”

There were also some unexpected and fun new seasons, and talent themselves who helped to break it down. From chatting with Ginny & Georgia creator Sarah Lampert, who talked through character development and her choices for the show’s third season, to Anthony Keyvan, who revealed his favorite off set moments from XO, Kitty season 2, we got to see behind the scenes of our favorite shows this year.

Mordechai: “There were a lot of big thematic elements in [Ginny & Georgia] that surprised me this season.”

We also break down our favorite movie moments, including Wicked: For Good, Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, Regretting You, Mordechai’s favorite, Superman, and the Glen Powell takeover from The Running Man to the series Chad Powers.

We play another fun game of casting Disney princesses as leads from hit movies, including Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Allie from The Notebook, and Sam Montgomery from A Cinderella Story. And we end the episode by revealing the top content Mordechai and Daniella were hot mess obsessed with this year. What were your favorites?!
