In episode 42 of The Young Entertainment Podcast, hosts Mordechai and Daniella share their exclusive interview with Florence Hunt and Will Tilston, who star as Hyacinth and Gregory Bridgerton, your favorite royal siblings in the hit Netflix show, Bridgerton. Part 1 of the new season drops January 29th. We chat with Florence and Will about their audition processes, their favorite moments on set, and what they can tease about season four.
The upcoming season four, split into two parts, follows the second-eldest sibling, Benedict Bridgerton, and his fairytale romance with Sophia Baek, a maid, after he falls for her at a masquerade ball. Yerin Ha stars as Sophie and Luke Thompson plays Benedict, with Nicola Coughlan (Penelope), Luke Newton (Colin) and the majority of the Bridgerton family returning.
Florence and Will have brought two of Bridgerton’s beloved siblings to life, and they have also both grown up together on screen. Florence made her TV debut playing young Nimue in the Netflix series Cursed and she also has a lead role in the series Mix Tape. Will starred as a young Christopher Robin in Goodbye Christopher Robin.
Both Will and Florence talked about their audition experiences for Bridgerton, with Will doing a self tape and Florence doing two typical auditions. Yet because of how huge the show is, both were in disbelief when they booked the life-changing roles.
Will: “I couldn’t quite believe that I had booked the part.”
Because Bridgerton became such a massive hit, Will and Florence picked up on a lot of tips while on set. Even just learning to enunciate words in the specific English dialect was a learning experience! They also learned a lot from Jonathan Bailey, who has played Lord Anthony Bridgerton, and said he was so humble and kind and took the time to chat with everyone on set.
Florence: “Jonathan Bailey is so incredibly grounded. He is just such a lovely normal guy.”
Florence joked that she and Will got to have a lot of free reign over their characters because they were able to get away with quite a lot while being some of the younger people on set. Will said the entire cast and crew has become so close, and it is so rewarding to see every cast member have their moment and continue to blossom in their careers.
Will: “Every day on set is just a privilege to be there.”
With the first part of the new season dropping soon, Will and Florence couldn’t spoil much but teased Penelope and Colin’s baby this season, and Will also revealed Gregory even has a little crush this season.
Will and Florence also teased that their characters will have a massive ‘big moment’ scene in part 2, and because it took a lot of rehearsal, it was one of the most rewarding experiences.
Florence: “If I ever got the chance to have a [romance] storyline, I’d be over the moon.”
We finish up the episode by playing a fill in the blank Bridgerton edition and also see what Will and Florence think about love triangles, secret identities and more!

Consider this:
- Repetition while learning lines is crucial as it help to build strong connections, turning words into musical memory and second nature. It’s important to ensure you’re not just reading lines but engaging with the text by saying them aloud, recording yourself, or running them with others.
