Just write. Don't compare yourself to others. Eyes on your own paper and you'll get there in your own time. Take breaks if you need to, but keep going. #YAAuthorTakeover

It's ridiculous to pretend it doesn't hurt.
But I always try to take something good from it if I can.All my rejections eventually pushed me to write Words on Bathroom Walls, so I guess sometimes let the rejection sting for a bit. Then get back to your story. #YAauthortakeover

For both I would say to talk to someone about it ( family, friends, a professional) and to be kind to themselves. It is such a difficult thing to feel this weight on your soul. Asking for help is not a weakness #YAauthortakeover

And there were definitely days that I was too frustrated to write. So I did yoga or ate Swedish fish or went for a walk or watched a favorite movie until I felt like I could go back to it.

As far as movies: Silver Linings Playbook and The Kings Speech are two of my favorites. I love Ratatouille and Monsters Inc as well!

I go back to Long Way Down by @JasonReynolds83 a lot. Because it's beautiful and it always makes me feel something. And Red, White, & Royal Blue by @casey_mcquiston is one I pick up A TON because it is so romantic and lovely.
