National Treasure: Edge of History Episode 6 – 1/11/2023
We last left Jess in a situation where she needs to choose whom to trust. From there, we find that she works with Billie, and she managed to decipher an old clue that leads her to a famous landmark that dates back to the 18th century. This will be one of the biggest, and if not the most difficult, heist that she will be in yet to retrieve the next piece of the map. But things don’t always go as planned, and if you’re interested in what’s next for her, make sure to keep an eye on the date!
Mimi Webb “Red Flags” – 1/13
Fans of Mimi Webb, “Red Flags” is set to release on January 13th of this year, and this song will accompany her latest album “Amelia” on March 3rd! For those who have never heard of her music, Mimi Webb is a British singer-songwriter known for her singles, “Good Without” and “Before I Go”, as well as her debut EP “Seven Shades of Heartbreak” on October 2021. If you’re a fan of her lyricism, listen to her music and keep an eye out for “Red Flag”‘s release!
BANNERS “I Wish I Was Flawless, I’m Not” EP – 1/13
Michael Joseph Nelson, most famously known as BANNERS, is set to release his “I Wish I Was Flawless, I’m Not” EP on January 13th of this year! It contains songs that you might have heard before from this artist, such as “Perfectly Broken” and “Keeps Me Going”, as well as songs that haven’t been released yet, like “In Your Universe”. This English singer, songwriter, and musician has released songs such as “Someone To You” and “Start a Riot”, so if you’re a fan of his music, keep an eye out for his latest EP’s release.
For Lamb by Lesa Cline-Ransome – 1/10
Here is a book that’s a bit different from fantasy, adventure, and prestige. Instead, this book stars an interracial friendship set during the times of 1930s, right in the middle of the Jim Crow laws. Written by Lesa Cline-Ransome, For Lamb stars Lamb, a studious young girl who lives in Jackson, Mississippi. After befriending a white girl and accepting a friendly gesture of loaning a book to Lamb, a series of events stirs Lamb’s life into a series of cataclysmic events. This young adult book is told through nuance and subtlety, where it pays homage to females who were victimized by white supremacy. If historical fiction is your cup of tea, the book will be released on January 10th of this year.
Willow Episode 8 – 1/11
Are you prepared for what is most likely the final episode of this season? Airk befriended Lili, Elora, and the others march on through the Shattered Sea, and many more tribulations occur for the group. Elora has yet to still reach her potential with Willow’s guidance, but on the bright side, Kit and Elora reconcile. But the adventure is far from over, as Elora and Kit reach the end of the Shattered Sea to the Immemorial city, where they meet a very, different Airk. If you’re excited about what will be shown in this episode, the episode will be aired on January 11th of this week!
Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight Season 2 – 1/12
Does anyone remember this furry, fat panda? How about that he’s voiced by the famous, Jack Black? For those who had watched this show initially in the beginning, Season 2 will be premiered on January 12th of this year. For those who weren’t aware of this show, this series stars Po and a knight named the Wandering Blade, who must join forces to find four, powerful weapons and save the world from a pair of villainous weasels. If you haven’t watched the first season, we implore you to watch it first before you dive back into Po’s adventures. You can watch the duo on Netflix!
jenny nuo “recruitment season” – 1/13
For those who are a fan of jenny nuo, we have some great news for you! jenny has an album set to release in 2023 called jn2* with the song, “recruitment season”, coming out on January 13th of this year. jenny nuo, otherwise known as jenny wang, is an independent singer-songwriter whose music can be described as bedroom and indie pop. If you’re a fan of this kind of music, check out her single “print” on Spotify, one of her more popular songs to date. Just as another reminder, “recruitment season” is set to release on January 13th.
Riven by Mindee Arnett – 1/10
For those who are fans of the acclaimed fantasy author Mindee Arnett, I have some great news for you! Coming to Barnes and Noble, Riven is set to be published on January 10th of this year. The story stars a young mercenary named Mars Darksvane, an assassin whose known to be adept–someone who is capable of channeling magic that flows beneath the island of Riven. Mars wants out of the assassin business, and the only way that he’s able to attain that freedom is by protecting his charge Fura Torvald while stealing a mysterious object known as the Primer. For those who are interested in adventure and where Mars will lay his allegiance, keep an eye out for this book’s release!
The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House – 1/12
Are you interested in Japanese culture? For those who are ever so curious, The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House will premiere on Netflix on January 12th of this year. This is a live-action series that will consist of 9 episodes, where it will star Kiyo, a person who cooks meals for a maiko house–a house filled with apprentice geisha, who are entertainers for visitors in banquets and parties. This series is based on the manga with the same name, so if you’re interested in this live-action adaptation, check it out on Netflix on January 12th!
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 Ep 203 – 1/11
Welcome back to another episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
