Indians – Somewhere Else

Arrow, Season 2 Episode 21

This haunting number is playing as we see interspersed shots of Moira’s funeral and Sebastian Blood being sworn in as mayor. Somewhere Else is also the name of Indians’ debut album. Indians is Danish singer-songwriter Søren Løkke Juul, who has been described as ‘Denmark’s Bon Iver’. This album dropped in January of 2013 … look out for Indians in the US later this year.

The New Black Tea – Boom Boom Boom

Degrassi, Season 13 Episode 30

Clare and Drew share a steamy moment in the storage room at school whilst this catchy track plays in the background. The dark sounding piano and the great hook are what make this track a winner. The New Black Tea is actually a collaboration of musicians from other bands put together by masterminds Mike James and Jeff Dawson. This track is pulled off their EP Ching-a-Ling featuring Lexi Strate.

Imperial Mammoth – You Wake Me Up
Awkward Season 4 Episode 3

Imperial Mammoth are a two piece and how sweet is it that they are married? They’re like a pair of crooning angels inviting us up to musical heaven. It must be lovely listening to them make breakfast in the mornings. This track is playing as Jenna walks the hallway of her school. They have also featured on the soundtracks to Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1, and NBC show Parenthood, and we think they are primed for big things.

Tennis – Cured of Youth

Faking It Season 1 Episode 2

This tune is like a (very funky) cool glass of water on a summer day; Faking It is really killing it with the music so far and this song is no exception, playing as it does when Karma is flirting with Liam in the art room at school. Tennis are another married duo, Alaine Moore and Patrick Riley, who released their Small Sound EP in November 2013 and are supporting Haim during some of their US tour dates in May. The Burned – Make Believe

Tomorrow People Season 1 Episode 21

This song is playing in the Tomorrow People as Jack is place in the Founders machine. The beautiful vocals and incisive lyrics come from Kurt Baumann, under the moniker of The Burned. The Burned dropped a self titled debut album in 2010, and fans have been turning blue from holding their breath for a follow up ever since! Kurt promised on his Facebook page in late 2013 that a big album was imminent, so hopefully the world won’t have too much longer to wait.
