Zomes – Cave Mountain Stream // Awkward, season 4 episode 7

This track accompanies the mighty falling out between Jenna and Marry – a long time coming if you ask us. Zomes is a Swedish duo with a transfixing, minimalistic sound. This track is pulled from their 2013 album Time Was.

The Lumineers – Slow It Down // Reign, season 1 episode 22

This track by popular folk rockers (fockers?) The Lumineers plays as Leith tells Greer about his new property in the season finale. The Lumineers are, of course, well known for their 2013 smash “Ho Hey” and this is a superbly mellow track, featuring an acoustic guitar and not much else. The Lumineers are currently based out of Denver, Colorado which is pretty appropriate as they are definitely styled something like mountain men!

TVA – Sensual // Faking It, season 1 episode 6

Sensual by TVA plays during the threesome scene between Liam, Amy and Karma. It’s a loaded moment, when Amy strips down, and this song fits the moment just right. We don’t know much about TVA other than that they are European, so just sit back and enjoy the track!

Joy Classic – Ya Change // Awkward, season 4 episode 7

This track plays as Jake lies in bed thinking about Autumn, and then sends her a text. Joy Classic are a good old fashioned rock n roll band with a top layer of pure psychadelia. The vocalist has phenomenal shades of the late great Roy Orbinson . Look out for their forthcoming album Metro; if this track is anything to go by it’s going to be essential summer listening.

Woodkid – Boat Song // Reign, season 1 episode 22

Woodkid has some SERIOUS pipes on him, as evidenced by this (boat) song which is featured in the emotional scene where Bash and Francis hear about Henry 2’s death. Woodkid is also known as Yoann Lemoine, a French musician and graphic designer who also happens to have directed Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream video. With a voice this distinctive, he’s sure to be a break out takent of this year. We could go on, but the song and lyrics speak for themselves. Beautiful.
