Booksellers (for the most part) are SUPER nice to authors and always treat us like gold when we go to sign copies of our book (which we do pretty often ngl 🤪).

So on one hand, you’re like, that’s it? And while you’re grateful for your book to be in the world, you also realize that the work is never done and there are newfound expectations to perform and write with regularity.
