Pretty Little Liars loves to play pretty little mind games with us. While we’re emotionally exhausted at times from all the back and forth, we’d have it no other way. This week we’re examining the Twinning of it all in the show…and the possibility that Ali isn’t who she says she is…literally. As we know, in the books Ali does indeed have a twin, Courtney. Courtney wasn’t mentally stable and in fact impersonated Ali and ended up in a ward for it.

What if Ali’s return has taken on a darker reality and she isn’t who she says she is? What would make us think this? One of the main indicators is in the name of Radley Sanitarium itself….which is an anagram. For what, you may ask? Radley Sanitarium spells out…Mary DiLaurentis. While there is no Mary we know of yet, per se, but the show creators could have renamed Courtney as Mary. Also, this theory would explain the mysterious bag of clothes Mrs. DiLaurentis handed off to someone in the woods…possibly Ali’s twin! Ali’s stalker may very well be her own sister. This may also explain why Mrs. DiLaurentis was willing to bury her own daughter to cover up a “murder”…because she was protecting her OTHER daughter.
