Your #1 stop for Scream, the TV series casting news! MTV has cast Bex Taylor-Klaus (Sin of Arrow!) on the show as creative outcast type Audrey Jensen. Connor Weil (Sharknado) is also set to join the series as a regular, playing an all-American jock type. We can’t wait to see who gets killed off first!

Clancy Brown, Flash logoSpeaking of Arrow, Clancy Brown (Starship Troopers) is set to join the spinoff series The Flash in a recurring role as The General, a nefarious militant leader with dark intentions for Plastique.

Amanda Fuller, Brittany MurphyThe Brittany Murphy Story will be hitting small screens on Lifetime, starring Grey’s Anatomy’s Amanda Fuller in the lead role of the talented but troubled actress who died way too young at 32.

Another biopic of an ill-fated young woman in the entertainment industry is coming together. Chattrisse Dolabaille and Izaak Smith will play Missy Elliott and Timbaland, respectively, in the upcoming Aaliyah biopic. Also attached are Alexandra Shipp, Rachael Crawford, Sterling Jarvis, Lyriq Bent, Anthony Grant, A.J. Saudin and Jesse Sukunda.

Spy Kid forever Alexa Vega and Gotham’s Brette Taylor will recur on Season 3 of Nashville, respectively playing Kiley, Gunnar’s first love, and Pam, a new back-up singer with a checkered past.

Let the superhero trend continue. Olesya Rulin, Noah Taylor and Eddie Izzard will all be a part of Powers, a superhero fantasy series based on the graphic novel by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. The show takes place in a universe where many people possess superhuman powers, and two detectives are charged with keeping order between those who have these abilities and those who don’t.

Switched at Birth ad, Twisted asRenewal news: Unsurprisingly, ABC Family has ordered a fourth season of Switched at Birth! All we gotta say is: Yay! On a sad note, the network has decided to cancel Twisted after just one season. We’re sure we’ll be seeing more of Avan Jogia, Maddie Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Denise Richards, Ashton Moio, and Kimberly Quinn in other projects though!

It’s official. The musical extravaganza Glee will return for its 6th and final season for a reduced mid-season order of 13 episodes. The end of the series will be a return to form, focusing on the original core cast and especially Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison.

 


The CW

Arrow is about to get another superhero infusion in the form of Superman Returns’ Brandon Routh. Routh will play Ray Palmer, who is to become the Atom, a superhero who can shrink to microscopic size.

Other CW superhero news is Robbie Amell’s arrival on The Flash, the new Arrow spinoff. Amell will play Ronnie Raymond.

Nick Roux, of Jane By Design and appearing on Pretty Little Liars, will take a recurring role on Jennifer Falls. Falls is about a working mother who moves back in with her mom when she loses her high profile job. Roux will portray Jennifer’s daughter’s boyfriend.
