Once Upon a Time in Wonderland
Spinning off from the hit Once Upon a Time, this Alice in Wonderland-themed series will go further into that particular fairytale universe, which shares certain vital links to Storybrooke, Maine. Starring Sophie Lowe as Alice, Being Human’s Michael Socha and the inimitable John Lithgow as the White Rabbit, the show premieres on Thursdays this fall on ABC.
Season 5 of Parenthood, scheduled to air on NBC Thursdays, will have some changes and new additions, most notably the castng of Jurnee Smollett-Bell (from True Blood and Friday Night Lights) as Nicole’s campaign partner. And maybe some of the tearjerking from last season will finally let up, as talks of a wedding are in the air!
A rare historical drama marketed to the CW audience, this slightly fantasy-tinged series set for Thursdays will chronicle the early years of Mary Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane, Cora from Teen Wolf) when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, with her three best friends as ladies-in-waiting.
Just Jack is back! Will & Grace’s fantastic sidekick Sean Hayes finally gets his own series, as a divorced gay father of a 14 year old girl (Samantha Isler) struggling to balance his work, family and love life. Set for NBC Thursdays.
Another welcome face to return to the medium which made him famous, Michael J. Fox will portray Mike Henry, a former news anchor diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, who years later juggles family, his health and a return to work. NBC ordered an entire season for the show, scheduled to air on Thursdays.
The Vampire Diaries
While this vampy little series closed Season 4 with some pretty intense cliffhangers, don’t expect to see the immediate fallout in the fall premiere. Instead, there will be a time lapse to the autumn, with Elena and company enrolling in college.
