Planned for a mid-season launch on the CW, this post-apocalyptic series is based on the hot YA books of the same name by Kass Morgan. Starring Marie Avgeropoulos, The 100 tells the story of a group of juvenile delinquents sent to a destroyed Earth in hopes of repopulating the planet…
Based on the novel (and acclaimed film) of the same name by Nick Hornby, NBC is launching this charming series mid-season, telling the story of Will (New Girl’s David Walton) and his quirky relationship with the neighbors (played by Once Upon A Time’s Ben Stockham along with Minnie Driver).
Conceived by the brilliant Alfonso Cuaron (director of Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban, among many others), this promising sci-fi/fantasy series is set for mid-season release on NBC, following a gifted little girl (Johnny Sequoyah, in her debut role), her unlikely bond with an escaped felon, and the evil forces that hunt her. With Jake McLaughlin.
Jenna Elfman (TV’s Dharma!) is back with this post-divorce family sitcom, focusing on 11-year old Henry (Eli Baker) as he observes his family’s new dynamic. Slated for a midseason release on NBC.
Junior Master Chef
Featuring everyone’s favorite hotheaded chef Gordon Ramsay, MasterChef is about to get pint-sized again with this newly formatted kids’ spinoff of the cooking competition, airing on FOX this fall.
The Middle
A CW entry slated for midseason, this sci-fi romance follows the heady love affair between a human high school girl (Aimee Teegarden of Friday Night Lights) and one of eight aliens (90210’s Matt Lanter) sent to earth years earlier to integrate. Everybody loves star-crossed lovers, even when one isn’t even human!
Oz’s Christopher Meloni returns to TV as a no-nonsense military dad who keeps his teenage kids (Deception’s Connor Buckley, along with Damaris Diaz and iCarly’s Tyler Foden) in line. Planned for a midseason premiere on FOX.
Subergatory is also gearing up for some major changes in the new season (its third), since both Alan Tudyk (who plays Noah) and Rex Lee (Mr. Wolfe) will not be returning as regular cast members. What gives? Apparently, the trimming of the cast is due to internal network politics, but writers have hinted to a refocusing of Tessa’s relationship with her father, which has been referred to as “the heart of this show.”
Starring Jason Ritter (son of Three’s Company’s John Ritter) and Alexis Bledel of Gilmore Girls, this adorable new FOX show follows Gavin and Stacey, who decide to take their online relationship to the next level, in spite of their crazy (and polar opposite) families.
