Get ready Marvel fans, Shang-Chi will be making his debut this fall! Marvel just released the teaser trailer for Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings along with the poster. The film is set to open in theaters on September 3, 2021.
The poster for the film was first revealed on Simu Liu’s social sites. Simu Liu will be portraying the title character, Shang-Chi. And was given the poster by Marvel Studios to share on his socials on his birthday as a little present. The poster features Shang-Chi front and center, staring straight on, in a very strong pose with the ten rings behind him.
The trailer is full of action, Kung Fu, and suspense. It has a predominantly asian cast, bringing more Asian representation to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The synopsis states that the title character, “must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization.”
Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy, and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and produced by Kevin Feige and Jonathan Schwartz, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso and Charles Newirth serving as executive producers. David Callaham & Destin Daniel Cretton & Andrew Lanham wrote the screenplay for the film.
All of the information surrounding Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings is so exciting, and looks incredible. The fanbase is also extremely thrilled to finally get a look at this film.
