Although, "Count Dooku" is a pretty silly name. It sounds like some kind of mistake. You know, like, "I just stepped in a bunch of Count Dooku…."

I guess you can tell I loved monster movies when I was a kid. (Still do!) The first movies I remember were monster pictures. They were on TV ALL THE TIME! I loved them — couldn't get enough of them! Back then, that kinda made me a nerd, like the boys in Spiked! I loved #monsters, but I also loved #StarTrek and #LordoftheRings and #JamesBond and #SherlockHolmes. All this stuff is in my DNA; it's who I am! We're defined by what we love.

When I was young, the first thing I wanted to be was grown up. I wanted to be a secret agent or a great detective. Decisions, decisions! #JamesBond always seemed cool, but so was #SherlockHolmes. So I figured if I loved so many different things, probably the best thing I could be was a writer. That way — I could be or do anything I could imagine. (After I learned how to spell.) And the best part was that I could sit down all day!#YAauthorTakeover #writerslife #writers

I wrote my first stories in First Grade (on a stone with a chisel…) and they were about monsters, spies and detectives. I loved to read them out loud — improvising sound effects. Scratch any writer and you'll find a ham underneath.#YAauthorTakeover #firstgrade #hamactor

The great thing about having a sense of humor is how #Dangerous it can be. I remember making fun of teachers, and they couldn’t tell I was doing it. The other kids in class knew, though, and the teachers were sure I was up to something… #YAauthorTakeover #school #teachers
