But ZYLA & KAI is not my first book. It’s actually my third! My first book is another YA novel called I WANNA BE WHERE YOU ARE about a ballerina who goes on a road trip to a dance audition with the boy next door. It came out in 2019 and started my publishing journey pic.twitter.com/WWIXWAqegV

After I graduated, I knew I wanted to get IWBWYA published, so I wrote and revised it, got an agent, who then the book sold to a publisher (this is the quick version of the story lol if have you more questions pls ask!) then IWBWYA published after I revised it again w/ my editor

#YAauthortakeover I ❤️ all my books but I have a particular respect for NTIFY bc it was extremelyyy hard to write! 2nd books are notoriously hard for authors. But I learned so much as a writer. And it made me REALLY want to write a story where the romance was the *main* plot…

#yaauthortakeover I wrote most of ZYLA & KAI during 2020, so right at the beginning of the pandemic. And when everything in the world was so scary, it was nice to be able to return to this love story every day where things felt more hopeful. It was my bright spot in 2020 for sure
