Inspiration struck for #FourthWing ‘s romance (it’s a “Romantasy”) first. I loved the concept of forced proximity, not through a fated mates trope, but instead a “dragons-are-mated” trope. If that’s a thing.

I plan them using arcs for plot, romance, & character growth. Then write the scenes that come to mind on index cards and arrange them along the arc, while also asking myself where to leave hints about where the next book heads.
