Young Entertainment Welcomes 2024 and Reflects on the Best of 2023

Happy New Year everyone! As we ring in 2024, it is also a time to reflect on 2023 and all the memories made. Young Entertainment had an incredible year filled with interviews from authors, actors, actresses, singers and songwriters, and more.

For 365 days we work on bringing you the newest and best reads, latest shows to binge, movies to watch and songs to stream. We always make sure you are up to date on the latest news and young talent to watch in entertainment.

This year, we once again sat down with some of the biggest names in young entertainment. We asked people about their books, their shows, their music and more but also had a bunch of fun with the interviews.

We talked to actors including Peyton Elizabeth Lee and Blake Draper from the hit Disney Channel movie Prom Pact, Will Spencer who plays Milo on The Summer I Turned Pretty, Dylan Sprayberry who portrayed Liam Dunbar in the Teen Wolf movie, and Katie Douglas who stars as Abby in Ginny and Georgia. We also talked to bestselling author Robbie Couch who published If I See You Again Tomorrow

All of them answered questions from fans like you, questions about their work and their character, and even some fun questions such as how they would describe their character in emojis, what their go to coffee order is and more.

It goes without saying that 2023 was a unique year for Hollywood, including most of these actors and actresses, due to the writers strike, the second longest labor strike the Writers Guild of America has held at 148 days. Writers in the film and television industry were demanding higher pay and fairer deals or their work. For the duration of the strike this meant that they put down their pens and keyboards, pausing on writing or pitching new projects.

The Screen Actors Guild of America followed suit and also striked against film and television studios over contracts from July to November. This was the first time both writers and actors have walked out simultaneously since 1960. As a result, both actors and writers were affected (alongside non-union members and contractor), as all production on film and TV shows was shut down. During this time actors were not able to promote their work by appearing at premieres or doing interviews. Young Entertainment had to work around this strike, as did all the actors, which was difficult but also demonstrated the resiliency and community of the film and television industries.

Amidst the chaos, Young Entertainement had an incredibly successful year. Each of our social media platforms grew in reach and following and we were able to talk to some really cool people. All of our interviews can be found on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@YoungEntMag) and on our website (Young Entertainment Magazine | Exclusive News & Interviews). 2023 was an incredible year and we cannot wait for 2024 and all of the interviews to come.
